About Spray Tans
The active ingredient in most sunless tanning products is the color additive, dihydroxyacetone (DHA). When applied, dihydroxyacetone reacts with dead cells in the skin's surface to temporarily darken the skin and simulate a tan. The coloring typically wears off after a few days.
Regardless of the type of products you use, tanning agents work within the top layers of the skin and never come in contact with live cells. Your skin is made up of two main groups of skin layers called the epidermis and the dermis. In simple terms, the epidermis is your skin’s outer surface. It forms a barrier on top of the dermis to protect your body’s connective tissue, glands and blood vessels. The epidermis itself houses dead skin cells and has a scale-like, tough texture.
One of the reasons exfoliating is important is because your skin can accumulate too many dead skin cells to get even coverage. Polishing it with an exfoliating cleanser creates a smooth surface that acts as a canvas for sunless tanning products.
Over time, your skin renews cells and sheds old ones. Because a fake tan sits in your outer skin layers, it starts to fade when your body naturally sheds the dead skin cells it no longer needs -
Dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, is by far the most common tanning agent used in spray tanning products. DHA, a colourless sugar, is approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration and considered to be completely safe for use on top of the skin.

You can expect your Spray tan to last for up to 7-10 days depending upon your skin type and preparation. Regular moisturising will extend the tan’s life.
Before Spray Tans Exfoliate your body before the application. Pay attention to rough skin areas like knees, elbows, ankles and the tops of your toes.
DO NOT apply moisturiser to your skin before your spray tan as doing this will reduce the final result, we also recommend that you don’t wear any make-up.
After Spay Tan Once your tan is applied, you must allow it to dry completely. We will ensure that your application is dry before you leave, but as a precaution, do not wet your skin for at least 5 hrs after the tanning session, get court in the rain as this will ruin your spray tan.
IMPORTANT SKIN ADVICE : If you feel you have highly sensitive skin, or you have any doubts, we recommend a small localized test spray. Please allow 24 hours to check your skin compatibility before having your Spray Tan.
Spray Tan Clothing: We recommend that you wear dark, loose fitting maxi dress or attire after your spray tan appointment. Any minor rub-off will easily wash out of most fabrics, but some lighter coloured materials, including leather may stain & best not to wear bras or undies after your spray tan if you're comfortable with that.
